4PL Environment | Business Analyst | Supply Chain / Logistics background | Hands-on | IT systems | Process Management

Our customer is a 4PL organisation that manage large international logistics operations on behalf on their customers.

The Business Analyst will be part of the project management group and responsible for translating business requirements into business processes, design new processes and define system specifications. On-going process analysis and improvement are an essential part of this role as well. The majority of the projects will be related to business transformation and new customer implementations.

The business analyst will work in an international, cross functional matrix environment of a logistics 4PL organisation. This person will work very closely with the transformation project manager.

The organisation is a relatively young but fast growing organisation with a strategic focus on large global logistics outsourcing contracts. At times this can mean that new operating procedures and processes have to be defined as part of the operational process. A dynamic and exciting environment where change is the rule rather than the exception.

Tasks and responsibilities
1. Business Analysis:
· Translate understandings of new business requirements (eg; change requirements)
· Analyse the interconnection between each process
· Initiate process improvements and efficiencies
· Submit application changes needed in support for end to end delivery
· Manage any change request or any installation
· Seek alternate solutions for process or system issues

2. Manage processes:
· Improve business processes on logistic issues
· Manage new requirements from regions (US/AP/LA/CA)
· Manage the requirement and process changes

3. Manage the relationship with users :
· Inform users on change status
· Provide training and process documentation
· Provide proper system documentation

Other tasks
• Assist with business controls reviews and audits
• Interlock with other business analyst departments
• Serve as the focal point for the Subject Matter Experts
• Write the test cases for Work requests submitted
• Perform testing and provide process documentation

Profile characteristics
Analytical and critical thinking, Accurate, organised and decisive, Flexible, Pro-active. Comfortable working in a dynamic matrix international environment.

1. University/Advanced College degree or comparable education. Good working experience multinational and multicultural environment.
2. Background in physical logistics and/or IT systems
3. Fluent written and spoken English
4. Strong Leadership capabilities and collaborative influence
5. Comfortable in a strong growing environment and capable of dealing with ambiguity
